I'm just chilling at work drinking water when I suddenly realize that in 32 hours I'm going to be running my first half marathon! By the time I got around to finishing this blog post, it's 26 hours.

And then I got really, really nervous.

I'm really only trying to finish, not expecting some fantastic time to brag about. That's for another race. And the weather is looking perfect.

Now I just need to clear my head from the week's landlord drama, keep drinking water and give the knee some TLC.

Last minute reminders
1. Start slow and ignore the sprinters.
2. Drink water at every aid station.
3. Remember I am stronger than I think I am.
4. There are bananas and beer at the finish line.

  1. Best of luck to you. Can't wait to see how you did!

  2. GOOOOO.....SARAH!! Also think of the wonderful family and friends you'll have at that finish line. (I know one preggo mama who will be lovin' on you the time you cross!) :) Best wishes on a fantastic race with beautiful weather. Enjoy it!

  3. Hoping you read this before you go off for your marathon but whoo hoo! Congratulations for finally making it to the day! Good luck with completing the race. You've got an excellent prize waiting for you at the end-- banana and beer. What could be better than that?! :)

  4. Drink water for the first part of it and then swtich to whatever gatoraid type drink they have. Believe me, it helps!!!

  5. GOOD LUCK!!! I will be cheering for you!!! I will be on the last few miles! The first race is the best bc it is all about finishing! Go Get 'um girl!

  6. I REALLY love your last minute reminders! And so true they are (yes, I know, not proper grammer/english). :O)

    You're gonna rock it...
